In a nod to American oak barrels in which the spirit is aged, the waxed cord features a metal medallion with engraved burn-effect oak wood insert. The supplier devised a solution that required no sticking or cutting during the application process onto the bottle. Stitching marks on the cord allow the medallion to slide, but without falling off.
