    Time for renewal

    The year 2020 will most likely be unique in the history of the Formes de Luxe Awards.

    In the early days of spring, the luxury industry, like numerous other sectors, was at a virtual standstill, and the entire supply chain felt the shock: stores were shuttered, orders were cancelled or postponed and machines idled on the factory floor.

    We are now early October and there is still little to no visibility that would allow us to envisage a quick turnaround for the industry. But it is precisely at this moment of uncertainty that we should look to the future—one where creativity, inventiveness and innovation are the driving forces behind the revival of a luxury market that we also hope will be increasingly sustainable.

    In this much-changed environment, the 2020 edition of the Formes de Luxe Awards will be a platform for creativity, highlighting the products that will mirror tomorrow’s luxury, while reminding the industry that it has both the vision and the means for reinvention.

    This year, for the first time, this platform will go digital via Luxe Packaging Insight.
    We will feature an in-depth look at all the products competing in our 18 categories as soon as the applications close early October and mid November, we’ll unveil the winners. The winter issue of our print magazine Formes de Luxe will also feature special section on the 2020 winners.

    We are eager to share with you this year’s crop of packaging innovations. Today, more than ever, it’s time to let suppliers’ capacity for innovation and reinvention shine through.
